Our story
A small house that makes light — to burn, to wear, and to keep on the shelf.
Three crafts, one studio, and a stubborn belief that handmade things are worth the wait.
How we started
One wheel, one pouring table, one bench.
Glow n Grid began in a single small studio where a potter's wheel, a candle-pouring table, and a jeweller's bench ended up pushed against the same wall. We didn't plan to make three different things. It just turned out that clay, wax, and metal ask for the same patience — and that the same pair of hands could learn to work all three.
What ties them together isn't a material. It's an approach: use honest materials, make in small batches, and leave enough restraint to let the object speak. That's as true of a stoneware bowl as it is of a gold ring or a poured candle.
Ceramics
Our ceramics are hand-thrown and hand-built from stoneware clay, then glazed and finished by hand. The range runs from vases and vessels to everyday tableware and more decorative, sculptural pieces. Because each is finished by hand, no two are identical — small variations are the signature of a real, made object, not a flaw.
Candles
We pour our candles from a coconut-soy blend with cotton wicks — clean-burning, with no paraffin or fillers — and we blend fragrance to carry through a whole room rather than fade in ten minutes. They're poured in small runs, in vessels built to be washed out and kept long after the wax is gone.
Jewellery
Our jewellery is made in 14k gold vermeil and recycled sterling silver, hand-finished and nickel-free. We design pieces to layer, stack, and survive daily wear — rings, earrings, and necklaces meant to be worn, not saved for a drawer.
Why we work by enquiry
Because everything is handmade and much of it is made to order, we don't run a conveyor-belt checkout. Instead, we work by enquiry: you tell us what you're drawn to — a range, a gift, a custom piece — and we take it from there. It keeps the work personal, and it means what you receive was actually made for you.
